Patagonia Chile 2017: Winter Training Hike – Stanley Park

Patagonia Chile 2017: Winter Training Hike – Stanley Park

With snow and ice still sticking around on our planned trails we went where the snow wan`t. Our backup was the venerable Stanley Park. We backpacked the seawall with some people giving us strange looks but occasionally some people surmised that we were training for something. We’ve been getting many people interested in what we’re doing so hopefully armed with our S2P brochure they have made a donation to the project. Patagonia Chile 2017: Winter Training Hike – Burnaby Lake

With the recent heavy rains and warmer temperatures we were hoping for a training hike without icy trails but it wasn’t the case. As we have just passed the 2 month mark to our departure for our Torres del Paine National Park backpack we now are focusing on final conditioning and gear testing. Thanks to Brandon and Amber for helping out the Streetfront “boys” with today’s hike. Chile 2017 Training Hike - Pacific Spirit...
